Edward J. Kaczmarek Jr.

Edward J. Kaczmarek Jr., 70 years of age and resident of Gilberts, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his residence with his loving wife by his side on Sunday, August 31, 2025.

He was born on August 28, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois, to Edward and Mary (Dumovich) Kaczmarek.

Edward attended Prosser High school and went on to become a Master Automotive Mechanic for 37 years. On June 26, 2016, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Deborah whom he met while in high school.

Edward is survived by his wife, Deborah Kaczmarek; brother Robert Kaczmarek; cousins Barb and Jim Wolc; as well as other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Edward enjoyed the sport of NHRA Sportsman Drag Racing for many years. He cherished spending time with his wife, family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory (419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL 60014), beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m. Private interment will take place at a later date.
