Frederick Schultz Oyer 76 of Inverness, IL passed away on  23 February 2023. He was born on 14 November 1946 in Bluffton, Ohio.  Beloved husband of Darlene C. Oyer. Devoted father to Arthur (Bonnie) & Christine Stephens. Loving Grandfather to Jonathan, Olivia (Tom) Radovich and Evanee, Great Grandfather to Oliver. Loving son to the late Dr. Russell & Laura Oyer, brother to Rodney (Suzanne) & Joel (Linda). Fond Uncle to many special nieces and nephews.

Fred lived a disciplined & dedicated life to family, business and fellow mankind. He was a co-owner/founder of International Piping Systems, Inc where he worked until retirement and he quickly went back to work at his son’s company International Drying Corporation as VP/ CFO. Fred will always be known as a man of integrity and a man who did things thoroughly and in a proper and fair manner. Fred is described by colleagues and friends as an unusually prominent person, thoughtful in how he spoke and deliberate in every action that he took.

He enjoyed long dinners with his wife, and loved ones, in depth conversations, cars, history, reading and a good glass of scotch. When Fred came into your life, you were forever changed because of his proficiency and ministration. He will be profoundly missed by so many.

Visitation is on 11 March 2023 at Davenport Funeral Home 149 W. Main Street, Barrington, IL from 9am-12pm with a service at 12pm.

In Lieu of flowers his family is requesting donations to St Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
