Gabrielle M. (Lombardo) Simmons

Gabrielle Simmons (nee Lombardo), 35, was born April 15, 1984 in Elk Grove Village.  She passed away July 30, 2019 at her home in Hawthorn Woods.

Gabrielle was a senior project manager at Houghton Mifflin and a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, MOPS Alpine Chapel, and Moms Demand Action, a council against gun violence.

She was the beloved wife of Jeff; Best Mom on the Planet to Jason, Ashley, and Justin; dear daughter of Tony and Janet Lombardo; cherished sister of Adrianna Lombardo, and Frank (Mary Ray) Lombardo; fond aunt of Rosie, Charlie, and Polly Lombardo; beloved niece of Carla and Joseph Pappalardo, Laura DeCelles, Paul Gasior, John Gasior, and Barbara Gasior; beloved daughter in law of Mike and Lenore Simmons; dear sister in law to Mike and Lara Simmons; and fond cousin to many.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Frank and Kathleen Lombardo and Joseph and Ruth Gasior; cousin, Nicole Cerone and aunt Terry Cerone.

Memorial Visitation will be held from 4-9pm, Thursday August 8 at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich.

Mass will be at 10am, Friday, August 9 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 135 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.
