Gene A. Bengston

Gene A. Bengston, 93 years of age and resident of Crystal Lake, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, in Huntley, Illinois.

Gene was born on March 7, 1932, in Kewanee, Illinois, son of the late John and Elsie (Martin) Bengston. On June 17, 1961, Gene was united in marriage to Helen Mae (Olson) Bengston. They raised their family of three children in Crystal Lake in a home filled with love and happiness. Helen and Gene were married for 62 years until her passing in 2022.

A visitation for Gene will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 76 W Crystal Lake Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014, from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. Visitation will continue the following day, Friday, December 19, beginning at 10 a.m., until an 11 a.m. Funeral Service. Private interment to be held at Windridge Memorial Cemetery.
