George Martin Benigni

George Martin Benigni, 80, of Lake Zurich, was called home to Jesus on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.  He was born on February 22, 1943 in Chicago to the late Italo and Rosemarie Benigni.

George is survived by his loving children, Michelle (Fred) Segoviano, Joseph (Julie) Benigni, Charles (Leslie) Benigni, Patricia (Matt) Renz, Renee (Kevin) Markech; adoring grandchildren, Bryor (Debra), Joey (Nicolette), Ashley, Josh, Michael (Gabriella), Anthony, Jacob, Stephanie, Nicole, Isabella, Hallie (Alex), Samantha, Charlie, Jessica, Avery, Josiah and Emerson; great grandchildren Arlo & Kai; and his sister, Alice (Bernard) Schank.

George was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Nancy and by his parents.

In his retirement, George loved spending time with his buddies and family. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and camping but nothing compared to his life long love of the Chicago White Sox. Through this life he attended more games then his family can count. As he got older, he loved watching and attending games with his kids and grandkids and took great pride in instilling his love for the team in them.

Memorial Visitation will be held Monday, May 1, 2023 from 3 PM until 7 PM with a tribute beginning at 7 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S Old Rand Rd, Lake Zurich.
