George Elliott

George Elliott, 84, of Lake in the Hills, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland to George and Williamina (Halliday) Elliott, he was always proud of his Scottish heritage. George adored his wife, Nancy, and treasured their life together.

He worked as a machine tool salesman, a career that took him all over the world. George was a social, loving man with many friends. He worked hard, lived well, and loved to sing and entertain.

George is survived by his sons, Graeme Elliott and David Elliott, and his stepsons, Robert (Jennifer) Pitchford and Matthew (Debbie) Pitchford. He will be lovingly remembered by his granddaughter, Amanda, and his great-grandson, Walter. He is also survived by his siblings, John Elliott, Marjory Bruce, and Catherine Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.
