Tower Lakes, Illinois,Gerald "Jerry" D. Birmingham, 67, of Tower Lakes since 1978, at rest February 9, 2010. Retired from General Electric Rail Corp., where he had been senior vice president. Beloved husband of Mary E., nee Webb, devoted father of Kathleen (Gregory) Roos, Stephen and Matthew (Kimberly) Birmingham; cherished grandfather of Kinsey, Wyatt, and Luke Roos, and Morgan Birmingham; loving son of the late Ralph and Gertrude; dear brother of Marianne (Robert) Meier, and the late Thomas; dear brother-in-law of Lorna Birmingham; missed by several loving nieces and nephews and great friends. Visitation Friday, February 12, from 3-8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 13 at Transfiguration Church, 316 W. Mill St., Wauconda, IL 60084, where he will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass. Interment Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Memorials may be made to Transfiguration Catholic Church or Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 410 S. Hager Avenue, Barrington, IL 60010.
