Mary Virginia “Ginger” Bradley (nee Dilger), age 76, of Crystal Lake, passed away from pneumonia on November 17, 2024, at the University of Chicago Medical Center after a fifteen-year battle with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.

Ginger was born on October 8, 1948, in Louisville, KY to Larry and Ginny Dilger. She grew up in Louisville and graduated high school from the Academy Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand, IN. After high school, she relocated to Hoffman Estates, IL. She met her husband of 52 years, Pat Bradley, while working as an administrative assistant at Motorola in Schaumburg, IL.

She loved family gatherings and did everything that she could to make them special for everyone, especially during the holidays. She was such a kind and giving person and was always a champion for others.

Ginger took great joy in meeting with her friends for lunch outings. In her younger years, she enjoyed sewing, skiing, tennis, bowling, and attending craft shows. Later in life, she gave all her attention to her family and six grandchildren.

Ginger was known for her unending love and dedication to her family and her selfless, giving nature and kindness. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile. To know Ginger was to love her. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her. 

Ginger was a devoted wife, loving mother, and adoring grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband, Patrick Bradley; her children, Michael Bradley (Michaelynn Pesut), Taryn (Ken) Stebbings, and Meghan (Ed) Riley; her grandchildren, Samantha Stebbings, Garrett Stebbings, Erin Riley, Allison Riley, Tyler Stebbings, and Brayden Bradley; her sister, Kathy Rokadia; brother, Chris Dilger; sister-in-laws, Marie Klug, Heather Dilger, Andrea Dilger, and Tina Dilger; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Ginny Dilger; and brothers, Larry and Tony Dilger.

A visitation for Ginger will be held from 4pm until 8pm on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cottas Street, Crystal Lake, IL 60014. A second visitation will be held the following morning at funeral home from 12pm until 1pm, followed by mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL. Inurnment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ginger’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
