Gregory Johnson

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gregory Johnson who passed away suddenly on May 13, 2025 at the age of 50.

He was born on July 5th, 1974 in Elgin, Illinois to Raymond and Patricia Johnson. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Johnson; brother, Thomas Johnson; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and special friend, Laura.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Johnson; and grandparents, Genevieve and Arnold Johnson, and Nellie and William Babowice.

Greg grew up in Crystal Lake and Prairie Grove; he graduated from Crystal Lake Central High School in 1992, and further attended McHenry County College. He had a long career in sales in the electronics business, and his last position was with Arrow Electronics as Field Sales Representative.

Greg had an extraordinary gift of connecting with people and was fun-loving. He enjoyed golfing, biking, working out, and was an avid sports fan. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and curiosity for life.

Greg was special to many; his humor and smile will be remembered by all. He will be deeply missed but will live on through our cherished memories of him.

May we all try to honor his memory through kindness, laughter, and loving each other.

Services for Greg will be held privately in accordance with the family's wishes. They kindly ask that no flowers or donations be sent at this time.
