Ida Jean Stanek

Ida Jean Stanek, of McHenry, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the age of 75.

She was born July 26, 1947 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Louis and Anne (nee Commiso) D’Ascanio.

The most important part of Ida Jean’s life was her family.

Ida Jean was the loving wife of Paul C. Stanek of 57 years; loving mom of Paul T. (Carrie) Stanek; beloved grammy of Paul E. and Austin D. Stanek; loving sister of the late Daniel F. D’Ascanio and Gary J. (Roxana) D’Ascanio; cherished aunt of Jessica A. D’Ascanio and Mark L. D’Ascanio; and loving cousin to many.

Friends are welcome to visit with Ida Jean’s family on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 4-8 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. The funeral service will be held the following day, Tuesday, March 28, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
