Ila A. Sethna

Visitation for Ila A. Sethna, of Round Lake, IL will be visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 10 AM until 12 Noon with a ceremony starting at 11:30 AM at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich, IL 60047.

Born November 24, 1934 in Bharuch, India, she passed away on August 4, 2023.

Mrs. Sethna was a distinguished college professor at University of Mumbai in India, and continued her love of teaching in high school after coming to the United States. Her interests spanned across botany to gardening to cooking. Spending time with her family and friends was her greatest joy, especially time spent with her 2 grandsons.

She was the beloved wife of Anil (deceased), loving mother of Meenal Sethna and Rahul (Melissa) Sethna; cherished grandmother of Cale and Alec: Proud sister of the late Dhrupad (the late Bakula), the late Nalini (the late Arvind), Ashwin (Ida), Deepak (Dhiru).  She was a fond aunt & cousin to many, and beloved by many friends and loved ones who became extended family.
