James Carl Anderson

James Carl "Jim" Anderson, 91, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024. Born in Chicago, Jim proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy and later as an honor guard at Arlington National Cemetery. He was a devout Christian and loved working at church, where he dedicated much of his time to service and mentorship.

Jim married his sweetheart, Carol Hanetho, and was just days away from celebrating their 67th anniversary. His passions included building and crafting, which kept him active and engaged, as well as reading, which provided him moments of tranquility and reflection.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol, their children, grandchildren, and a community of friends who were blessed to know him. Jim's life will be celebrated privately by family.
