James “Jimmy” I. Esposito, born January, 12, 1941 in Chicago, IL died October 1, 2022 in Crystal Lake, IL.  A life well lived. He passed away surrounded by his loving family.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Esposito; three children, Cheryl A. Bott (Raymond), Karen Cuebas (Johnny), and James V. Esposito; four grandchildren, Raymond, Frank, Brittany, and Tina; and ten great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James A. Esposito and Rose Arena Esposito and sisters, Rafaella “Sis” Lullo and Susan Slapinski.

Jimmy enjoyed cooking, gardening, movies and Hollywood. He also had a love for cocker spaniels, particularly his current pet, Sammy. Most of all, Jimmy had a tremendous love for his family and Italian heritage. He worked as a meat cutter, cook, and bartender.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 4, from 4pm until 8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.   A service will be Wednesday, October 5, at 10am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 3500 Washington St, McHenry.  Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation made in his name to the American Cancer Society , One East Wacker Drive, Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60601, or your local animal shelter.
