James Michael Fulton

James Michael Fulton, 72, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026. He was born on May 13, 1954, in Chicago.

Jim grew up in Chicago and spent his career as a laborer with the Chicago Local Union. While he worked with his hands every day, he also possessed a creative spirit and enjoyed painting and drawing abstract artwork.

Jim was happiest in the comfort of home. Never much for the outdoors, he proudly embraced being a bit of a couch potato, especially during football season when he could cheer on his beloved Chicago Bears.

Those who knew Jim will remember his quiet, gentle nature. He was kind, loving, and remarkably patient, never speaking a harsh word. A mild-mannered man and a true gentleman, Jim was a devoted husband, a loyal best friend, and someone who made those around him feel cared for simply through his steady presence.

Jim also had a special love for animals. Over the years he cherished many faithful canine companions, most recently Rita and Lucas, and Sweetness and Junior, who brought him endless joy.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Robin; their dear friend, Pamela; his sister, Kimberly; and his niece, Kelly Rae.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth Fulton.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his gentle heart, quiet strength, and the kindness he shared with everyone fortunate enough to know him.
