Jason Alexander Binzel Sr

Jason Alexander Binzel Sr., 52, of Fox Lake, passed away unexpectedly on March 9, 2026. He was born on August 12, 1973 in Arlington Heights, IL and was lovingly adopted and raised by Theodore “Ted” and Priscilla Binzel.

He grew up in Lake Barrington where he went to school and lived with his sister Beth, and his parents Theodore and Priscilla Binzel. He later attended Western State College in Gunnison Colorado. Afterward he went back home to Illinois and worked with his father Theodore Binzel at the family company Binzel Industries Inc. He spent the rest of his working career at this company before retiring due to medical issues.

He was a kind hearted soul who loved spending time with his only son and his loving mother. He was adept at building computers and speaker systems and often spent his free time doing so. He also loved listening to music, hiking and swimming. Some of his favorite musicians being John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Prince, Ren/The Big Push, Eminem, Slightly Stoopid, Blue October and THE ELOVATORS. You could always find him tapping his foot and moving his head to his favorite songs.

Jason will be deeply missed by his loving son, Alex Binzel; his mother, Priscilla Binzel.

He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore “Ted” Binzel

A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026. A Celebration of Jason’s life will immediately follow at 12:45 PM at Beelow’s Steakhouse, 763 S. Rand Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047.
