Jean Mary Ambrose
Jean married Roland, the love of her life, on May 17, 1958, in Chicago. Their blessed marriage of 65 years brought them three children, six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Family was the centerpiece of Jean’s life, providing her with immense joy.
An avid figure skating fan, Jean delighted in the sport’s elegance and excitement. Her dedication to the Chicago Cubs was equally fervent, reflecting her loyalty and deep-seated love for the team. Jean also had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her cherished dog, Cedar, who preceded her in death.
Known for her nurturing nature, Jean was a compassionate caretaker, always ready to offer support and a listening ear to those in need. Her fun-loving spirit and good humor brought laughter and warmth to everyone she encountered. Jean will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her beloved husband, Roland, Jean is survived by her children, John (Kristine) Ambrose of Lakewood, Renee (Efrain) Mazariegos of Lakewood, and Paul (Tracy) Ambrose of Cape Coral, FL; grandchildren, Ashley, Ryne (Laine), Amanda (Trevor), Richard (Carla), Tania and Sergio; great-grandchildren, Erin-Michael, Caleb, Aaron, Tate, Troy, Maximiliano, Camila, Katherine and Cora; her siblings, James Myzia, Antoinette Klimczak, Rosario Myzia and Peter Myzia.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 17, from 4 PM until 8 PM Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 18 at 10 AM at Resurrection Catholic Church, 2918 South Country Club Road, Woodstock. Interment to follow at Maryhill Cemetery, Niles.
