Jean Myers, 91, of Barrington, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 21, 2013.
She was born February 28, 1922 in Chicago to Allen and Anna Guger.
Jean was a secretary for Corn Products until 1949 when she became a dedicated mother, a creatively good cook, and also began volunteering for The Catch Penny, Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital Auxiliary in Barrington.
Jean is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Byron Benjamin Myers; loving children, Karen (Dennis) Allen, Byron James (Margie), and Dave (Sue); a granddaughter, Jennifer Marie Allen; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 12 noon, Monday, March 25, 2013 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W Main St, Barrington, IL 60010. Following the visitation will be procession to Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Jean’s name to The Catch Penny, Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital Auxiliary, 118 E Main St, Barrington, IL 60010.
