Jeffrey W. Cave

Jeffrey William Cave, 69, passed away on April 20, 2026. He was born to the late Robert Cave and Janis King.

Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Cave; his sisters, Nancy Nagl and Linda Reagle (Jerry); and his four children: Mark Cave (Nicohl), Lauren Chatterton (Jason), Elizabeth Kinderman (Richard), and Eric Cave. He was a proud grandfather to Oliver, Elliott, Beckett, Rory, and Liam, all of whom brought him immense joy.

Jeff carried on his father’s legacy by taking over the family auto body shop, which he faithfully owned and operated for 47 years. He had a deep appreciation for classic cars and was known for his attention to detail.

A man of profound faith, Jeff led his family with a deep love of the Lord, setting an example through both word and action. His faith was the foundation of his life, guiding the way he loved, worked, and served others.

He found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, especially time spent in nature. Jeff enjoyed hiking, biking, and road trips, and he treasured the adventures he shared with his family, particularly his grandsons.

A service to honor Jeff’s life will be held on Thursday, April 23, at 11:30am with a visitation to begin at 9:30am, at Harvest Bible Chapel, 580 Tracy Trail, Crystal Lake. Burial will follow at Windridge Memorial Park.

He will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his devotion to family, and the quiet joy he found in the world around him.
