Jeffrey Roger Hysen

Jeffrey Roger Hysen, 54, of Woodstock, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2023. He was born on January 31, 1969 in McHenry, IL to Roger and Nancy (nee Boyd) Hysen.

Jeff attended Crystal Lake Central High School and graduated in 1987. After graduation, he started his career as a fleet mechanic with ComEd and was a dedicated employee for 35 years.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge as well as National hot Rod Association (NHRA). He loved motorcycling and was a car enthusiast, especially drag racing. He and his wife, Shannon, enjoyed their visits to their place in Bradenton, Florida for relaxation and racing at the Bradenton Raceway.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Shannon Bodner Hysen; his mother, Nancy Hysen; siblings, James Hysen and Rebecca (Rob) Simpson; niece, Savannah (Robert Woloszczuk) Simpson; as well as numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger.

Memorial visitation will be Sunday, June 18, 2023 from 2 PM until the memorial service at 7 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Interment will be private.
