Jeffrey Michael Wilson

Jeffrey Michael Wilson, 72, of Crystal Lake, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 15, 2026. He was born on January 17, 1954, in Evanston, Illinois, to Walter and Shirley Wilson. In his early years, he lived in Springfield, Illinois, before moving to Lake Forest, where he completed high school. He later earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Quincy College.

Jeffrey was a kind and compassionate person who devoted his life to helping others. This was evident in his 25-year career in healthcare recruiting, where he built not only successful teams but also lasting friendships. He played a key role in developing sales executive and management teams for both emerging startups and established leaders in the healthcare industry.

Jeffrey’s greatest joy in life was being a father to his two daughters. He adored them and took immense pride in the women they became. His wisdom and guidance were a foundation that helped shape his daughters’ lives. He was also a loving grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren. He had a deep love for animals and spent countless hours walking his dogs.

Jeffrey shared a close bond with his mother, who inspired his love of painting. He also enjoyed photography and had a gift for finding beauty in everyday moments. His warmth, positivity, and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.

Jeffrey is survived by his daughters, Teresa (Jonathan) Talmadge and Krysten (fiancé Kyle Petersen) Wilson; his grandchildren, Logan, Evan, Carter and Dylan; his brothers, David (Carolyn) Wilson and Jim (Sheila) Wilson; as well as many nieces, nephews, dear friends, and beloved pets.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter D. Wilson and Shirley A. Wilson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of a prayer service at 4:00 p.m., all at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Avenue, Crystal Lake, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jeffrey’s name may be made to Animal House Shelter in Huntley.
