Joan Hooper, 93, of Chicago, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025. She was born on January 5, 1932 in Chicago to the late Otto and Anna Samp.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 4 PM until 7 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Visitation will resume on Friday at the funeral home from 9 AM until the time of prayers at 9:30 AM. Procession to immediately follow to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, for 10 AM mass. Burial to follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
