Joe was born December 6, 1926 in San Sebastián, Mexico. He passed away peacefully August 31, 2019 in Woodstock.
Joe is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lola; son, Joseph (Delphine) Ornelas, Jr.; grandchildren, Amy (Scott) Finch, Angela (Shawn) Young, Joseph (Emily) Ornelas III, and Jennie (Adam) Davis; great grandchildren, Grace, Colin, Anna, Logan, Ben, Bryce, Trent, Lia, Chace, Jack, and Andy; and sisters, Socorro Romo Martin Diaz, and Chelo Romo Martin Perez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernardo Romo Cornejo and Guadalupe Martin Verdin; and seven siblings.
Visitation will be held from 9am until the funeral mass at 10:30am, Friday September 6 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1023 McHenry Ave, Crystal Lake. Inurnment will be private.
