John Blazier passed away peacefully in the home he loved on July 24, 2025, surrounded by family who loved him dearly. He was 67 years old.
John was one of a kind—equal parts hilarious and heartfelt. He had a sharp wit, a goofy sense of humor, and a lightness that lifted every room he entered. But underneath the laughter was a deep, unshakable faith. John lived out his beliefs boldly and without apology—kind to strangers, generous to those in need, and always ready to stop what he was doing to make someone feel seen, heard, or loved.
His life was a living example of grace and goodness. John never met a person he couldn’t connect with. He was quick with a joke and quicker to lend a hand. Whether it was telling a funny story or sharing his faith, he left people better than he found them.
John is now reunited in heaven with his parents, Bob and Rosemary Blazier. He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Amy; his daughters Melissa and Natalie; his son-in-law Michael, the son he never had; and the lights of his life, his grandchildren Kash and Leni Rose.
His presence, his laughter, and his love will be deeply missed—but his legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 9th, 2025 from 11-3pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake.
