Lakewood, Illinois,John T. Freres, Jr. Lakewood, IL John T. Freres, Jr., 49, of Lakewood, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2010 in Lake in the Hills. He was born on October 22, 1960 in Evanston, IL to John T. Freres, Sr. and Audrey (nee Slone) Freres. On May 24, 1987, he was united in marriage to Karen Cashen. He honorably served his country in the US Marines, was an IT executive for over 20 years, and was a proud member of Curran Martial Arts His survivors include his wife, Karen Freres; his children, John Thomas III, Matthew, Luke and Samantha; his father, John T. Freres, Sr.; his brothers, Rob Freres and Andy Freres; and 3 nephews and 2 nieces. Preceding him in death was his mother, Audrey Freres. The visitation will begin at 10am, Tuesday, January 19, until the 12 Noon funeral service at Willow Creek Community Church Chapel, 67 Algonquin Rd, South Barrington IL 60010. Pastor Tony Schwartz will officiate. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to Freres Family Memorial Fund, PO Box 2788, Crystal Lake IL 60039-2788 or Curran Martial Arts, 221 Liberty Rd, Crystal Lake IL 60014.
