John Michael Grabowski

John Michael Grabowski, age 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2024.

John was born in Chicago, IL on January 22, 1933.   Registered Professional Civil Engineer Owner/Partner Elk Grove Engineering Co. and also Owner of Grabowski & Associates.

Resident of  Lake Barrington Illinois since 1970, John was an avid Amateur Radio operator and electronics enthusiast.  His hobbies included Home handyman, building RC Airplanes/Cars, Stock Market Investing, and fishing with the family.

He was also an assistant coach for Cary Youth Baseball and President of the Barrington Amateur Radio Society.

John is survived by his loving children, Christopher and Denise “Dina” Grabowski, his grandson Hunter Grabowski, and his rescue/companion Dog “Chester”.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Lindalee Grabowski and daughter, Theresa “Terry” Grabowski, sister Mildred Placek, and his brother Eugene Grabowski.
