John Angelo Laskey

John Angelo Laskey born April 3rd 1941, passed away on June 26,2026.

A most cherished husband of 64 years to Ruth Laskey (nee Galison)

Amazing father to John (Dawn), Stacy, and Chuck (Terri) Laskey

And a special man (Gramps) to granddaughter Brandie Laskey

He was a caring man in the lives of his siblings.

He was one of seven children.

Sisters Pat Dills , Mary VanTil, Rita Laskey, Connie Laskey and brother James Laskey

And older brother the late Tom Laskey.

John worked in the world of finance. Enjoying his job more than not. Fortunate enough to shift his time to be able to see his children’ special activities- plays, concerts, and sports…

He was also active in his church. Early on, principal and teacher of the high school CCD program. He was a lector, a choir member, and a Eucharistic Minister as well as being a founding parish member of his church. Later he enjoyed finding fellowship with men in groups meetings and was a member of the knights of Columbus.

John brightened the lives of a lot of people. Family, friends and acquaintances will all sorrow because of his passing.

Passing from our love and into the Lords hands.

Visitation will be Friday, July 10, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Avenue, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.

A second visitation will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 9 am to time of Funeral Mass at 10 am, all at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 410 N 1st Street. Cary, IL 60013.
