John Mueller, 91, of Hawthorn Woods, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
He was born December 30, 1931 in Gross-Schogen, Romania, the son of the late Michael and Rosina (nee Bachner) Mueller.
John is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Minnie; his children, John (Lisa) Mueller and Kathy (Joe) Moore; his grandchildren, Thomas (fiancée Gina) and Rachel Moore; brother, Michael (Ginger) Mueller; sister-in-law, Helen Mueller; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Martin, Rosina, and Marie, and two younger siblings in Romania.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 24500 N Old McHenry Rd, Hawthorn Woods, IL 60047. Burial will follow immediately at the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to St. Matthew Lutheran Church or to Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org
