John Anthony Zigmond, age 86, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side.

John was born in Chicago, IL on June 14, 1934 . On October 1, 1955 , he married the love of his life, Marlene, at St. Veronica Catholic Church in Chicago, IL. After 42 years of service, John retired from Navistar/International Harvester. John made time for countless family vacations, backyard tag football, daddy/daughter dances and Indian Guide adventures – he was an amazing father. He taught his children strong work ethics and good Christian values. John was always there to support his grandchildren by attending their sporting, music, theater and school events. He made everyone smile with his silly antics and shared his love and father-like qualities with others that were not his own children.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
