Jose "Pepe" Delgadillo

Our father, Jose “Pepe” Delgadillo was born on April 29, 1941, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. He came to the United States from Mexico with hope in his heart and a dream of building a better life for his family. Everything he did was rooted in love, sacrifice, and the belief this his children and grandchildren could have opportunities he once only imagined. 

To our family, “Pepe” was home. He was the steady presence we could always count on, the voice that brought comfort, and the quiet strength behind so many lives. He was patient in moments when others would not be, kind without expecting anything in return, and always willing to listen when someone needed him. 

Some of our favorite memories are found in the simplest moments. Sitting with him, hearing his stories, watching him work hard without complaint, and feeling the safety of knowing he was there. He taught us that love is not always spoken loudly. Sometimes it is shown through sacrifice, consistency, and simply showing up every single day. 

Pepe was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a caring uncle and brother, and a loyal friend. He carried himself with humility and independence throughout his life, never asking for much and always giving what he could to others. There is space in our hearts that can never be filled now and he is gone. But we will carry his memory with us in the way we love our families, the way we treat people, and the way we continue moving forward through life with strength and compassion, just like he did.

We will miss him deeply. And love him forever.

Friends are welcome to visit with family on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at The Church of Holy Apostles, 5211 Bull Valley Rd, McHenry, IL 60050. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, McHenry.
