Joseph “Joe” Tenyer, 64, of Barrington passed away unexpectedly on March 2, 2024. He was born on April 20, 1959 in Chicago to Josef and Anna Tenyer.
Joe was a man who epitomized selflessness. He always put others first, going above and beyond to take care of everyone and everything around him. His unwavering dedication to his family and friends knew no bounds, and he took great pride and joy in caring for those around him, ensuring their happiness and well-being in every way he could.
Joe was an avid golfer. He reveled in taking golf trips with his closest companions, creating memories that would be cherished for a lifetime. Beyond the golf course, Joe found serenity and joy in spending time on the lake, particularly at his and Denise's lake house in the Galena area. It was here that he found respite from the demands of daily life, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the company of loved ones.
A master of his craft, Joe dedicated over 40 years of his life to the printing industry. As he looked forward to his well-deserved retirement this April, Joe was eager to embark on a new chapter of relaxation and leisure.
In addition to his love for golf and his career accomplishments, Joe was a devoted Chicago Cubs fan. Through the highs and lows, he stood by his team with unwavering loyalty, celebrating victories and enduring defeats with equal fervor.
Joe's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Joe was united in marriage to Denise on July 3, 1998; together they celebrated 25 beautiful years of marriage, blending their two families into one.
In addition to his devoted wife Denise, Joe is survived by his loving daughter, Sarah Tenyer; his beloved step-children, Ryan (Sarah) Zemke and Kristin (Peter) Richey; cherished grandchildren, Zachary, Emma, Brayden and Olive; loving mother, Anna Tenyer; dear sister, Anna (Bob) Roller; nephew and niece, Bobby Roller and Emily (Michael) Maglasang, great-nephew, Miles; and by his treasured dog, Ernie (named after his favorite Cubs player, Ernie Banks). He is also survived by many loving cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Josef.
