Joyce Andrée Ingwalson peacefully passed at her Huntley, IL home in her family?s arms after a grace-filled, courageous dance with cancer on January 27, 2010,"" her husband?s birthday. Visitation and Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the First Congregational Church in Crystal Lake, IL with the Reverend Arn Schaper officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30-11:30am; the Memorial Service will be at 12 Noon, followed by a luncheon. Burial will be in Hayward, WI later this summer. Born September 7, 1930 in East St. Louis, IL, Joyce Andrée lived her faith-filled life as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. After graduating from Northland College in Ashland, WI, she was a high school teacher. She then became the Service Club Director in Camp Wolters, TX where she met her husband of 51 years. While keeping their home and raising their 5 children, she was an active crafter participating in numerous juried art and craft fairs for almost 20 years. Additionally, she was an avid reader, follower of current affairs, passionate card and game player, dedicated friend and neighborly helping hand to many. She and her husband thoroughly enjoyed their numerous far-flung travels and homes, eventually retiring to Florida and Northern Wisconsin. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Kenneth James Ingwalson, her children René Lynn (Waino) Ingwalson, Michelle Chéri (Brian) Lowack, Monique Gabrielle (Michael) Mahon, Dana Scott (Michele) Ingwalson, Nicolle Desirée (Robert) Mercer, her grandchildren Juline, Clayton, Caelin, Brian, Lyndsay, Emily, Samantha, Nicholas, Kevin, Alexandra, Jackson, Allison, her great-granddaughter, Breann and a large extended family of friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcella Louise and Clayton Kirk Slack, Sr, her only brother Clayton Kirk Slack, Jr, her niece Kim Marie Slack and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Joyce Andrée carried these words with her, """"In her memory, please flower the lonely, feed the hungry, love the unable, and help hold the helpless."""" Honoring this request and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joyce Andrée Ingwalson Kindness Fund. These funds will be used for various charities, scholarships or benevolent needs.""
