Judith Ann Chmielewski

Judith Ann Chmielewski, 81, of Woodstock passed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2023. She was born on February 14, 1942 in Chicago, IL.

Judy was a loving, compassionate, and fierce mother, grandmother, & friend. She was an avid gardener, staunch democrat, and proud supporter of many environmental and political causes.

Judith is survived by her daughter, Amanda & son-in -law Tiago Dos Santos; grandchildren Chloe 7, Madelyn 2, and Christian 1; brother, Donald Chmielewski; and pets Harvey (canine), and her 3 beloved cats.

She was preceded in death by her father, Peter Chmielewski, mother, Bertha Chmielewski (nee Manick), and her sister Arlene Kaufman.

A graveside ceremony and burial will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11:30 AM at the Blue Bell Nature Trail at Windridge Memorial Park, 7014 S Rawson Bridge Rd, Cary, IL. A Celebration of Judith’s life will follow immediately at the Chapel at Windridge Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Judith’s name may be made to the any of the following ; Environmental Defense Fund , ACLU, NRDC, Sierra Club, National Wildlife Federation, PETA, or the Xerces Society.
