Julie Patricia (Pictor) Stone

Julie Patricia Stone (nee Pictor), age 75, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully on September 15, 2023.

Julie was born in Chicago, IL on January 28, 1948 to Urban and Leta (nee Slattery) Pictor, the youngest of three daughters. She married Arthur Glenn Stone on October 4, 1969 in Chicago. They moved to Cary in 1975 and made a home where they raised their two daughters. Julie was heavily involved in her children’s activities and was a frequent classroom and school volunteer. She was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. She enjoyed game shows, board games, the Chad Mitchell Trio, reading, and spending time with her family and friends who will all sorely miss her.

Julie is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 54 years, Arthur Glenn Stone; loving daughters, Abigail (Aaron Goldberg) Stone and Margaret (Richard Sample) Stone; her beloved sisters Mary (Greg) Sikora and Margaret (John) Sullivan; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Urban and Leta Pictor; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial mass for Julie will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2302 W. Church St., Johnsburg, IL at 10am on Monday, September 25 2023. Luncheon to follow at 31 North Banquets and Catering, 217 Front St, McHenry IL.
