Kim R. Neamand

Kim R. Neamand, 69, of Algonquin passed away January 3, 2023, surrounded by his wife and children.  He was born on August 26, 1953, to Victor and Elizabeth “Betty” (Sullivan) Neamand.

As Kim would say to anyone he met, “Ya know, I was a butcher for 38 years.”

He left a lasting impression on those he came in contact with.  Kim genuinely cared about others and would remember what was important to you. He always made you feel special and loved.  With the gift of gab, Kim could talk to anyone, anyplace about anything for a good amount of time.

Kim will be greatly missed by his wife of 50 years, Linda (Huerta); children, Jill (Kevin) Zaras and Kyle Neamand; grandchildren, Drew, Paige and Troy Kastning; siblings, Mark (Fran) Neamand, Marsha (Jim) Hayes, and Mary (Ed) Mott; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be Friday, January 13, from 4pm until 8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.  A private interment will be held at Acacia Cemetery, Norridge.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kim’s name can be made to American Heart Association .
