Kim Priscilla Hart

Kim P. Hart, a resident of Island Lake for over 70 years, passed away on September 26, 2023, at the age of 77. Kim spent over 26 years meticulously working as a lab tech at Baxter, proving her dedication in every task she undertook.

A graduate of Wauconda High School, Kim loved attending the reunions.  She was a lifelong and devoted member of the Faith Community United Church of Christ and actively participated in both the Island Lake and Wauconda senior clubs.  In her previous role as social chair, she brought joy to many, scheduling varied and enjoyable entertainment for all members.

Kim had a zest for life and a variety of hobbies; she loved to travel and had a green thumb, finding peace in her garden. She had a passion for playing cards, reading, and enjoyed the classics of TV and music.

Anyone who knew Kim was aware of her sweet tooth, with M&Ms and Tootsie Pops being her favorites. She was quirky and lighthearted, with a sense of humor that would light up any room. Talkative and thoughtful, Kim had a special way of connecting dots, seeing things in a way that others might not catch right away.

Kim was resilient and appreciative of every gesture, often reminding herself to thank those who did something for her, typically accompanied by gifts. Her thoughtfulness and gratefulness were her trademarks, leaving lasting impressions on those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Gladys Hart; her sister, Vicky Hart Boehmke; and her beloved dog, Lily.

Kim leaves behind her devoted church family and a host of friends who will miss her warm and friendly nature.

A Celebration of Kim’s life will be on November 4, 2023, at 1:00PM at Faith Community UCC, 2023 IL Rte. 176, Prairie Grove, IL 60014.

Please in lieu of flowers, memorials in her name can be made to her church.
