Kristin Elizabeth Lahey, age 60, of Fontana, WI, was called away suddenly on June 1, 2025, in Mt. Prospect, IL. Kristin was born on December 29, 1964, in Evanston, IL, to Donna Lahey (née Carroll) and the late William J. Lahey.
Beloved partner of Patrick Nash. Devoted mother to Gavin Hoch. Cherished bonus mom to Lauren and Lindsey. Loving sister to William (Lisa) Lahey, Tricia (the late Matthew) Switski, and the late Sharon Kennedy (Jerry). Dear aunt to Baylie, Trey, Cole, Megan, James, Maeve, Kane, and Elin.
Family and friends will remember Kristin as a deeply kind, generous, and thoughtful soul for whom family was a top priority. It was her nature to care for others which made her career as a beloved flight attendant at American Airlines, where she worked for 38 years, an ideal fit.
Kristin was exceptionally bright and hard-working, graduating magna cum laude from the University of Illinois. An avid runner, she completed 11 marathons across the country, including one Chicago Marathon she ran alongside all three of her siblings—a treasured memory for those who shared it with her.
She found joy in live music, the outdoors, and most of all, in the people in her life. Her warmth, compassion, humor, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
We take comfort in knowing that Kristin is now reunited with those she loved and missed so dearly. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of all who had the honor of knowing her.
Visitation will be held from 4:00–8:00 PM on Monday, June 9, at St. Anne Catholic Community, 120 N. Ela Street, Barrington, IL. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, June 10, from 9:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM, also at St. Anne Catholic Community.
