Chicago and Barrington, Illinois,The funeral service for Lauren Christina Munao (nee Gray), 26, will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at the Barrington United Methodist Church, 98 Algonquin Rd., Barrington, where there will be visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of service. The Reverend Cynthia Anderson and Dr. James M. Wilson will officiate. Interment will be private. Born September 14, 1983, in Arlington Heights, she passed away Friday, December 11, 2009, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago. Lauren and her husband Chris both graduated from Barrington High School in 2002. Lauren attended Purdue University and graduated from Western Michigan University with a B.A. in journalism, magna cum laude. She was an Editorial Assistant at the American Bar Association Section of Litigation. Lauren enjoyed spending time with her cousins at Black Lake, Michigan, was an avid reader, photographer and writer, and loved her dog, Daphne. Lauren was the beloved wife of Chris, whom she married August 22, 2009, in Lincoln Park, Chicago; cherished daughter of Kathy Gray and Richard Gray and loving sister of Nathan Gray; and loving sister of Natalie and Hayley Gray, daughters of Richard and Pam Gray; and dear daughter-in-law of Jan and Nancy Munao. Lauren was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Vincent and Stella Gray; maternal grandmother, Elaine Haas; and by uncle, Kit Haas.
