Lawrence Westerlund

Lawrence Westerlund, of Inverness, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at the age of 88.

He was born July 13, 1936 in Chicago, the son of the late Walfred and Catherine Westerlund (nee Wegrzyn).

Larry is survived by his daughters, Pamela (Tommy) Oeser of Sarasota, FL and Linda (Ahmed) Shaaban of South Barrington; his grandchildren, Nadia and Noah Shaaban; and his sister, Carol Ziegeldorf.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Westerlund (nee Warner); and his brothers, Charles, Richard, and Ronald Westerlund.

A graveside service with military honors will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 11am at Windridge Memorial Park, 7014 S Rawson Bridge Rd, Cary. Visitation will follow from 1:00pm until the time of the memorial service at 3:00pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W Main St (Lake-Cook Rd) Barrington.
