Lesli Marie Talpt

Lesli Marie Talpt, 64, of Chicago, passed away on September 28, 2025, at Aperion Care in Forest Park. She was born on July 3, 1961, to Arthur and Arla Talpt.

Lesli will be remembered for her sharp wit and sassy personality that kept everyone on their toes. She had a deep love for cats, a passion for reading mysteries, and a fondness for New Orleans cuisine. Throughout her life she lived in many cities across the United States before settling in Barrington and the Chicago area. One of her proudest accomplishments was attending Stanford Lab School while her father was pursuing his MBA.

She is survived by her sister, Cheryl (Daniel) Traugott; niece and nephew, Taylor and James; step-mom, Ursula Talpt; uncle, Kent Webster and cousins, Emily and Sarah; aunt, Lori Grasse and cousins, Scott and Trent; and friends who were like family, Tom McDonough and Douglas Vickers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Arla; aunt, Lou Webster; and dear friends, Jane McDonough and Dan and Norma Carey.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 1, at 9:30 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lesli’s name can be made to the ASPCA.
