Logan Pfeifer, age 28, of Lake Zurich, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on May 16, 2026. Born on February 4, 1998, Logan lived a life filled with friendship, joy, and an incredible love for others that left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Logan was an active and proud participant in the SRACLC (Special Recreation Association of Central Lake County) Active Adult Program. He especially loved competing as a member of the SRACLC Crusaders, where he played soccer, softball, and basketball with enthusiasm and heart. He also enjoyed playing with the LZBSA Challenger Baseball Program, creating countless memories with teammates and friends along the way.
A familiar and friendly face throughout the community, Logan loved working the concession stands at Lake Zurich High School football and basketball games and faithfully participated in SPRED at St. Francis Church.
He rarely missed a chance to support others, especially his brothers, whom he adored cheering on at their football, baseball, and basketball games. Logan was truly their biggest fan and could often be found in the stands at countless Lake Zurich sporting events.
One of Logan’s most remarkable gifts was his extraordinary memory. He had an uncanny ability to remember everyone’s name, along with the names of their siblings, spouses, pets, and even which high school they attended. Because of this special talent and his outgoing personality, many lovingly referred to him as the “Mayor of Lake Zurich.” Logan never met a stranger. He loved running errands, being out in the community, and socializing with others wherever he went.
More than anything, Logan had a way of bringing smiles to people’s faces. His warmth, kindness, and genuine interest in others touched countless lives.
He made people feel remembered, valued, and loved simply by being himself. Logan’s joyful spirit and the happiness he shared so freely with others will be deeply missed but forever remembered by his family, friends, and the entire community who loved him.
Logan will be deeply missed by his parents, James "Jim" and Carmel (need Loch) Pfeifer, his brothers, Jack and Reid Pfeifer; grandparents, Marge and Tony Pfeifer, godparents, Sue Ehrhardt and Craig Loch; and by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Archie and Carmel Loch, his aunt, Mary McCall Loch.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 12 PM until 8 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 11 AM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047.
