Loretta Marie (O'Keefe) Lockwood

Loretta Marie Lockwood (nee O'Keefe), age 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

Loretta was born in Barrington, IL on May 19, 1934 to Frank and Pearl Okeefe. She graduated from Barrington High School in 1953 and on June 12, 1954, she married the love of her life, Rowan Lockwood. The real joy of Loretta’s life was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She spent all of her life loving and worrying about each one. They were truly her treasure. Loretta will always be remembered for her love of flowers and her support for Chicago sports teams: the Bears, White Sox, Bulls, and Blackhawks. Loretta also cherished her friendship with Karin Znaminiski, an angel who enjoyed making German meals and provided friendship, comfort, and care for her and the family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Loretta is survived by her loving children, Patricia (Daniel) Dooley, Kevin Lockwood, and Keith Lockwood; cherished grandchildren, Tiffany (Mark) Browne, Sean (Jessica) Dooley, Ryan (Katie) Dooley, Daniel and Caleigh Lockwood, and Adam, Paul, and Neil Lockwood; great-grandchildren, Mason, Kendall, Parker, and Annsley Browne and Owen Dooley.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rowan Lockwood; parents, Frank and Pearl O'Keefe; and daughter, Mary.

Services for Loretta will be held in June of 2021.
