Luz Elena Nunez

Luz Elena Nunez, 63, of Island Lake passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Luz will be sadly missed by her children, Veronica (Julio) Rangel, Alejandro (Kate) Nunez, Mariela (Raymond, Jr.) Earhart, and Frank (Christina) Nunez; grandchildren, Keanu, Aaliyah and Alysa Rangel, and Raymond III and Michael Earhart; mother, Maria Del Refujio Chacon; siblings, Manuel, Gerardo, Esteban, Javier, Gerreros, Gilberto, Cruz, Socorro,  Jose, and Martin Reyes; and her beloved dog, Alie.

Luz was preceded in death by her father, Francisco Reyes Favela; her husband, Alejandro Nunez; her son, Manuel Nunez; and her sister, Margarita Reyes.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, from 4pm until 8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.   Mass will be at 10am, December 16, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee-Huntley Rd., Huntley.  Burial will follow at East Dundee Township Cemetery.
