Lydia Lee Wallace

Lydia Lee Wallace, 67, of Waukegan passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026. She was born on August 17, 1958 in Elgin, IL to the late James and Mary Wallace.

She was named after her great-grandmother, Alydia, a name that connected her to her family’s history.

She grew up in Barrington and attended Countryside Center for the Handicapped, where she was supported and cared for in a nurturing environment. She later spent most of her life at the Kiley Center in Waukegan, which became her home. She brought a ray of sunshine to all who knew her.

She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, sister-in-law and great-aunt, and will be missed by all who knew her.

Lydia is survived by her siblings, Suzanne, Terri Ann and James Richard Jr., and by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Ellen.

Services will be held privately.
