Lynn M. (Mockenhaupt) Gronow

Lynn M. Gronow, beloved wife, mother, and Nonna, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 11, 2023, at the age of 75. Born in Chicago to Anne and Jerome Mockenhaupt, Lynn graduated from Western Illinois University, where she met her loving husband Bill. Lynn and Bill were married for 49 years and together raised their two children, Katie and Chris. She was a ferociously loving mother and adoring Nonna, talented designer, and lover of the arts.  Lynn was known for her generous heart--whether sharing her talents, providing guidance, or being everyone's biggest supporter--and her love for others defined her life.

She is survived by her husband Bill, daughter Katie (Evan) Kozlowski, son Chris (Carly) Gronow, three beautiful grandchildren, Keira and Kyle Kozlowski and Brooks Gronow, sister Mary (Brian) Daly, sister-in-law Karen (Bill) Finney, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Doug and John. An open-house celebration of Lynn's life will be held at The Dole in Crystal Lake on Thursday, January 26, from 4-8 pm.
