Lynn Charles Knutson

Lynn Charles Knutson, 81, of Barrington, IL, passed away on August 23, 2023. Lynn was born on September 1, 1941, in Dayton, OH, to Herman and Ruth Knutson. He was the brother of Karen Gross (Randall - deceased) and Joan Wolfgram (Daniel), and an uncle to Matthew Gross, Christopher Gross, Alison Wolfgram Duke (Grant), Andrew Wolfgram (Liz), Jay Wolfgram (Maggie), as well as many great nieces and nephews.

Lynn enjoyed interior design and worked for Business Interiors and as a realtor at Griffith, Grant, and Lackey. Lynn’s education began at Grace Lutheran School in River Forest, IL, and continued at Elmwood Park High School (IL), Elmhurst College (IL) and Northwestern University (IL). While at Northwestern University he traveled to Denmark as a foreign exchange student.

Lynn had a passion for gardening, historical preservation, and architectural planning. He found joy in these hobbies in various locations, including Lake Forest, IL, Ephraim, WI, Siesta Key, FL, and Beaufort, SC.

A private ceremony will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Lake Forest Preservation Foundation (www.lfpf.org), a cause that was close to Lynn’s heart.
