Marcia Melody Hollatz

Marcia Melody Hollatz, 73 of Grayslake, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2023. She was born on January 7, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois to William and Melody (nee Damon) Hollatz.

From an early age, it was evident that Marcia’s extraordinary intellect set her apart. Her passion for learning led her to skip a grade, a testament to her exceptional academic abilities. Her academics later allowed her to study abroad in Mexico and go on to earn her Master Degree from Thunderbird School of International Management. Marcia had a lifelong passion for reading and was often found immersed in a world created by one of her favorite authors.

She is survived by her brother, Casey (Judi) Hollatz; sister, Andrea (Randall) Hollatz-Brown; Nephews, Mark Brown, Howard (Michelle) and Joey Senescu and two great-nephews, Brandon and Cameron Senescu.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
