Margaret F. (Bickel) Fairbanks

Margaret F. Fairbanks, age 92, passed away peacefully on Friday September 30, 2022.

Margaret was born on December 23, 1929 in Chicago, IL. She graduated from Amundsen High School and started her career as a legal secretary at Prudential Insurance where she met her husband of 66 years, Raymond Fairbanks. She loved to dance, golf, bowl, and being with family. She was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed watching them win the World Series.

Margaret is survived by her loving children, Raymond (Trish) Fairbanks, William (Cyndy) Fairbanks, Patricia (David) Ziehmke, Catherine (Gary) Thurston, Alice (James) Burton, and Nancy (John) Burroughs; cherished grandchildren, Joshua (Kayleen) Fairbanks, Thomas Fairbanks, Brooke (Michael) McGuire, Paige (Kyle) Pusateri, Blake Fairbanks, Anthony (Elizabeth) Ziehmke, Daniel (Ashleigh) Ziehmke, Christopher Thurston, Jenelle (Avi) Chertok, Kyle Burton, Lindsey Burton, Timothy (Madison) Burroughs, and Rachel Burroughs; as well as numerous great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Fairbanks; parents, John and Mary Bickel; siblings, and other loved ones.

A memorial visitation for Margaret will be held from 10am until the time of mass at 11am on Tuesday October 11, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 1023 McHenry Ave, Crystal Lake, IL. Burial will take place at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery in Palatine at 2:45pm following mass and luncheon.
