Margaret E. Kott

Margaret E. Kott, 62, of Lowell, IN, passed away on June 14, 2026. She was born on March 1, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois to Harry and Charlotte Kott.

Margaret built a successful and fulfilling career in the insurance industry, proudly following in her father's footsteps. She began her career as a claims adjuster, through years of hard work and leadership, she advanced to a management role, a position in which she took great pride and excelled.

Outside of her career, Margaret found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Margaret loved to cook and was known as a wonderful cook and baker. She enjoyed gardening and had a special love for animals, especially dogs.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Amanda (DJ) Balon of Valparaiso, IN; her mother, Charlotte; her boyfriend, Tom; grandchildren, Jacob and Macie; her siblings, Tim (the late Mardi), Jennifer, Daniel (Tina) and Andrew Kott, her aunt, Cindy (the late Ken) Veen; and by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son, Adam Gregoria; her father Harry Kott; her maternal grandparents, Angelo and Mary Violetto; her paternal grandparents, Adam and Veronica Kott.

Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2026 from 10:30 AM until the funeral service at 12 Noon at Windridge Memorial Park Chapel, 7014 S. Rawson Bridge Rd., Cary. Interment to immediately follow.
