Marguerite C. Esson

Marguerite C. Esson, aged 98, passed away on November 8, 2023, in McHenry, IL. Born on December 7, 1924, in Racine, WI to Gustav and Margaret Mielka, Marguerite lived a life full of love, dedication, and joy.

On June 22, 1946, she married her high school sweetheart, Roger L. Esson, a union that lasted 39 years until his passing. Marguerite was a devoted employee at the First National Bank and Amcore Bank in Woodstock, where she worked for 23 years.

Her life was enriched by her passions for traveling, gardening, enjoying the occasional round of golf, and, most importantly, spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving sons, Mark R. (Susan) Esson and Kurt Esson, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Roger, Addison, and Aiden. Marguerite was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger, and her dear friend and companion, John.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 15, from 10 am until 12 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. A graveside service will follow at 2 pm at Graceland Cemetery, Racine, WI.
