Maria Guadalupe Lasso

Maria Guadalupe Lasso, 75, of Fox Lake, died peacefully on May 10, 2026, in McHenry.

Maria was born in Quito, Ecuador on January 25, 1951, to parents Adolfo and Maruja Lasso. She married Eduardo Izurieta Torres in 1968, and together they had four children.

Maria met the love of her life at a young age, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, faith, and family. Maria and her husband were married on May 4, 1968, and shared 59 wonderful years of marriage. He had the blessing of knowing and loving Maria for 61 years a bond that remained strong and steadfast throughout their lives together.

Maria is survived by her beloved husband, Eduardo, her children, E. Geovanni Izurieta, Patricio Gonzalo Izurieta, and Silvia Bruns, 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 12 siblings, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Fernando Raul Izurieta, her sister, Gladys Bernal, and her brother, Patricio Lasso Torres.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m with a Prayer Service at 6 p.m. all at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S Rand Road, Lake Zurich, IL 60047.

María Guadalupe Lasso, de 75 años, de Fox Lake, falleció en paz el 10 de mayo de 2026 en McHenry.María nació en Quito, Ecuador, el 25 de enero de 1951, hija de Adolfo y Maruja Lasso. Se casó con Eduardo Izurieta Torres en 1968, y juntos tuvieron cuatro hijos.

Desde pequeña, María siempre amó cantar. También amaba profundamente a sus hijos y nietos. Siempre decía: “Viviré por mis hijos y mis nietos hasta el día en que muera.”

María conoció al amor de su vida a una edad temprana, y juntos construyeron una hermosa vida llena de amor, fe y familia. María y su esposo se casaron el 4 de Mayo de 1968 y compartieron 59 maravillosos años de matrimonio. Él tuvo la bendición de conocer y amar a María durante 61 años, un vínculo que permaneció fuerte e inquebrantable a lo largo de toda su vida juntos.

A María le sobreviven su amado esposo, Eduardo; sus hijos, E. Geovanni Izurieta, Patricio Gonzalo Izurieta y Silvia Bruns; 14 nietos, 9 bisnietos, 12 hermanos, además de muchos sobrinos y sobrinas

.Fue precedida en la muerte por su hijo, Fernando Raúl Izurieta; su hermana, Gladys Bernal; y su hermano, Patricio Lasso Torres.

La velación se llevará a cabo el miércoles 13 de mayo de 2026, de 2:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m., en Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S Rand Road, Lake Zurich, IL 60047.
